Food Bags
We gave food bags to many children to take home at the end of term. These consist of basic foods. They contain rice, red beans, sugar, salt, spaghetti and flour, coffee and stock cubes.
Luis who works with schools in the poor areas on the outskirts of Tegucigalpa, gave 1050 bags of basic foods between four schools at the end of term. These are all schools in very poor areas, where mums struggle to feed their children. The long school holidays are a real trial for many as the children do not get any food at lunchtime so that is more children to feed at home.
