Seeds in Schools

This is a snap shot of what is happening with the schools and the seeds we buy.

The schools involved in the garden project have received this year’s seeds from Cesar

The vegetable gardens run by the students had an excellent harvest last year. This project has become slightly easier as they have found what grows well on the land they have available and have prepared areas for growing.

There is also a sharing of ideas and a competitive edge to the harvest between the schools. This year Cesar is hoping to plan a green sale weekend in the centre of Valle de Angeles. All the schools will bring their excess harvest and will be able to get the best prices as many people visit the Valle at the weekend from the capital Tegucigalpa and will be willing to buy fresh produce.
